6 weeks old!

I cannot believe it has been six weeks already! These puppies are growing so fast! several are over 8lbs and going steadily up. By the time you take them home they are going to be monsters! In a good way of course. :-) They have the potty training thing down pretty dang good and are eating all dry kibble now, such big puppies, though mama still lets them nurse, silly mama. We have started giving them good one on one time so they are getting better with being on their own and they meet new people everyday! Dog socialization will start this next week with dogs other than my own, and they all met the cat this last week! They were curious, he was not. Haha. I have been a slacker this week picture wise so I have very few but here are the individuals.

 Mr. Green chillin' with Mama
sleepy Green boy

Handsome Chief, Ray says this is who he would keep if we were keeping one.

The lovely Ms. Scarlet, my "pick of the litter"

 Sweet Mrs. White
This is what most of these pictures turn out like, "ooo whats that thing you keep holding in my face?" (White)

Ms. Peacock, love this pup, always so observant

Mr. Boddy has found his playful side this week, and also his weight, he is now far and beyond the biggest of the bunch.
Cute Boddy boy

Pensive Prof. Plum, still the sweetest and most mellow of the bunch, though a little timid at times.
Sweet Professor

The Colonel. Still the little man on campus but definitely not lacking in spunk.

Wadsworth (Watson) still one of my very favorites, he is a stud
And again, what most of the pictures come out like. :-)

and lastly for today, Scarlet getting her daily dose of love from the bebe, or trying to lick the mess off of her face, whichever. :-)
I wanted to remind those who have been following since the beginning and recommend to those who have joined us recently to get and read the Monks of New Skete's book "The Art of Raising a Puppy". You will not be sorry, it is such an awesome guide.

Also here is the updated and hopefully final hold list:
  1. Joe Randall (Ut)
  2. Cliff & Nicole Sermon (Id)
  3. Jason & Emma Neff (Ut)
  4. Jim & Margarita Rassmussen (Ut)
  5. Ammon & Jennifer Hellewel (Nv) Female
  6. Amanda & Livingston Parnhorst (Ca) Female
  7. Kate & Lance Leavitt (Wy) Male
  8. John Doherty (Id)
  9. Trent and Christi Thorn (Ut) Male

I will being doing the temperament tests next Monday and will try and post the results that day and then you will be able to choose your puppy starting with #1 and working down. I will make suggestions who I think would do best with your family but it is just a suggestion and not a must. Thanks everyone!

Week 5!

This has been a busy week for the puppies. We had all of my 2 sisters children here for 4 days, so including Rory we had 11 kids in and out of the house, needless to say, the pups got  A LOT of loving. :-) I'm not sure if they will like the  return to semi quiet or miss the crazies. The kids just love them and had so much fun playing with them all day long. I had to put time limits on "puppy visits" so that the poor things could sleep every once in a while, even then some of the older girls would just lay out there with them and let them sleep on them.
Here are the 5 week old pictures.

Mr. Green- He is one of the most energetic, when you call him he does not just come to you, he bounces to you. He is one of the smaller males but isn't he so handsome?

Chief- He is still the biggest pup and crossed the 5lb mark a few days ago. He is a rather happy go lucky pup, he will play and snuggle all in the same breath.

Ms. Scarlet- oh Mrs Scarlet.  She is above and beyond the most energetic so far. She doesn't walk anywhere, she runs. She went from being the smallest female to one of the biggest pups. For all her craziness she is still rather submissive with people when you roll her over. She is so beautiful.

Mrs. White- Our resident fluff ball. She is still the most precocious of the lot, and always the first to try new things and to greet you. She is rather chill though and loves to snuggle.

Mrs. Peacock- This girl is fun, she has a lot of spunk. She has a lot of energy but will stop mid-puppy romp when called and come play with you instead.

Col. Mustard- The Colonel is a little timid sometimes, and I cant for the life of me get a good picture of him because he just comes and loves on the camera. He is still the littlest but hold his own when it comes to play and food.

Prof. Plum- This sweet boy is the most relaxed of them all. He would very much prefer to cuddle than run around like his crazy siblings. When sitting on the grass you can always expect to suddenly have a plum-leech under your leg or against your back. The vet always comments on his big head too. :-)

Mr. Boddy- This boy is going to be a sweet dog. He is good for anything and just kind of goes with the flow. He is going to be big like his daddy, his chest it huge.

Wadsworth- The kids started calling him Watson this last week. He is the one who will sound the alarm when someone comes out to see them or when there is a loud noise or when mama walks by. He barks once or twice and then romps all over everyone to wake them up. He is moderate energy and loves to play but loves to sleep too. He is also going to be built super thick like daddy.

I tried to get a group photo, haha that's kind of a joke with 9 super active puppies. but here are some attempts.

cant get one without help hahaha

This is what most of them looked like :-)

 Its easier with sleepy pups

And this was the rest of the week...

 The gang
Cinna was so excited to get to go back to dog class this week for the first time, here she is hanging out before class.
And here they are mid class, the Sennenhund club, we didn't make them all lay together, haha. The Berners belong to Wasatch Canine Camp Berners.
 Eat time
 After a little outdoor bath
 sleepy White
I have to announce that this morning there were NO accidents outside of the potty box! I am so proud.
Even though weaning has started Mama still keeps a close eye on her babies.
"aaa this rock is comfy" odd dog

Mama is good for more than food now, she is fun and comfy!
We are stinky so we got a mini bath while it was really hot outside

They are so stinking cute and just getting better.
